Alpha Lipid™ Colostem™ supports healthy adult stem cell function. Adult stem cells are present in all people, although they do diminish in both number and activity as we age and in unhealthy environments. Stem cells are essential for healthy repair and regeneration of cells throughout the whole body, now given that your body is made up of about 100 trillion cells that are continually dying and being replaced you can see how
important it is to look after these stem cells.
A bit about the ageing process
As we get older many of our physiological processes are affected. Our ability to absorb nutrients reduces, our production of growth factors and hormones decline, the rate of cellular repair and regeneration reduces; this in part is likely due to our reduced stem cell numbers and activity. The normal ageing process is often recognised by the reduction of our organ function – we tend to have more problems with our kidneys, liver, bowel, heart, brain and lungs as we age. Diminished joint function is also more common as we get older and our risk of infection and disease increases as our immune system declines and the body’s ability to heal slows.
